Things to do before your first day…

 

1. Download the PaperRound App

You will be provided your log in details when you arrive, but do make sure to download and install The Paper Round app on your smartphone. This app will be required to carry out your deliveries. Mobile data is required for the App to work. To download the app, click the relevant icon based on your device.

2. Join the local trunking WhatsApp Group

Please use the link provided in your welcome email  to join your area’s WhatsApp ‘Broadcast’ group. This will confirm each morning an estimated time for when your papers will arrive for you to collect. You must join this group. If you are having difficulty joining the group please speak with your local point of contact or email contractorcare@newsteamgroup.net.

 

3. Come prepared!

  • Phone battery – Make sure you have a full charge on your smartphone and the ability to charge it on the go. If you can’t access the App you will not be able to carry out your deliveries.
  • Bring a torch – Most of the time you will be delivering in the dark, a torch is essential and will make things a lot easier!
  • Check your vehicle – Apart from sufficient fuel, being roadworthy, legal and correctly insured, in case you break-down, make sure you have the right equipment in your car (e.g. spare tyre or tyre repair canister, bulbs etc).
  • Dress appropriately – The UK weather is unpredictable! Make sure you have something to keep you warm and dry if needed.
